Spunky Little Monkey
Bill Martin Jr. wrote Brown Bear, Brown Bear. That book lived in our house for years. Something about it is magic. So when I saw the title I got pretty excited.
My son Charlie had a lovey named Monkeekee, which he named himself. One time Charlie lost Monkeekee in an indoor ball pit. Pre-AirTags. I spent three hours on all fours sweeping the bottom of that pit, Lord knows what else my hand was brushing up against, and found him right in the corner when I was about to give up. AirTags were invented after I already paid my dues. Technology is amazing.
Spunky Little Monkey is basically three-year-old Charlie and his best friend, drawn into a book. He's in high school now and would probably be bummed I told you. Sorry, Charles.
