Eee-moo!
I'd been itching to try something different illustration wise. I'd been messing around with Procreate and found some ink pens worth trying, something that felt more traditional. Making it all on the iPad meant I wasn't chained to my desk anymore.
The commute was 1.5 hours each way. I'm pretty sure the bumpiness of the metro train shows up in the line work somewhere. Another favorite memory is drawing in the dark next to Charlie while he fell asleep, pen nib scratching on my matte screen protector. I still illustrate children’s books on my commute today, three hours round trip.

"An unusual, robustly Antipodean cast of animal characters makes this whimsical, charming story stand out."
